When they arrived, I looked all over the box and the shears and was unable to find ANY country of origin; only long-term use will demonstrate their quality. Perhaps so, but those others required hand strength which those of us with arthritis simply do not possess. Then I got this. WOW! It's such a snap to cut through chicken bones! The fact they come apart easily for thorough cleaning is a major plus. (You want to get anything that comes in contact with chicken really, really clean to avoid contamination with deadly salmonella). And they have stayed sharp for us for many moons now, without sharpening. Buy this! Even if you aren't incapacitated. You will not regret it!
