Summary: So quiet and Perfect!
Comment: In summer, I freeze at work due to excessive Air conditioning and in winter due to lack of required heating. I desperately needed something to make me feel warm. I read reviews on Amazon and decided to go with this one. I love this heater, it is small and very effective. Its unbelievably quiet and perfect for office use.

Summary: Warm, VERY quiet, warming my feet in cold office (in August!)
Comment: I could work in the middle of the burning hot desert, and I would have an air conditioner vent set on "Arctic Winter" over desk. Where I work, I have three of them, one more breezy-freezy than the rest, so I asked about space heater policies. Thankfully we did not have one, and I set out to find a small under-the-desk size heater. This seemed to fit the bill with variable usage (750 & 1500 watts) and a thermostat-like setting. I was hoping for a discrete black one that would kind of disappear under my desk, but for the price, features, and good reviews I picked this one.

It is compact and easy to figure out--plug in, roll the function setting to 1 (750 watts) or 2 (1500 watts) and roll the right thermostat setting to whatever suits you. The "thermostat" setting is on the...ummm... vague side. It doesn't have any temperature degree settings just a few numbers, a star (asterisk), and a fan icon. The asterisk is for "turn on if it is below freezing to keep it just above freezing", and the fan icon is for fan with no heat. Despite my cubicle thermometer saying it's 75*F and 45% humidity, I have this baby set to 5, and it is warming my feet and legs nicely. Just enough to take the dry chill off.

I noticed, like others mentioned too, that you can't tell if it is off or on since the big red dot light seems to always stay lit. And it is SO quiet, if not for the warm puff of air toasting my toes, you would not know it was on (except for the light). Even turning it to the dot (below the 1 for 750 watts) and rolling the other to the asterisk (keep above freezing), the light stays on...it's not blowing anything, but it's poised to blow heat when needed. For this reason AND for extra safety, I have this plugged into a surge protector/power strip on my desk--this is what I turn off every evening so any auxilliary items get their power cut when I leave. I would be concerned seeing this light on all the time under someone's desk--is it on? wasting electricity? going to burn the office down one of these days?

So far it seems to be keeping the chill off of me, has a small footprint for under the desk, and is particularly quiet. I'll post any updates if needed.

Summary: Good while it lasted
Comment: This little space heater was good while it lasted. It warmed up my little bathroom in the spring. It wasn't hot to the touch so it lived up to it's name: SafeHeat. However, the thing died after a mere 5 months. I tried unplugging it for a day and switching it on again but it refuses to work at all. While the product wasn't crazy expensive, it's still a waste of $15. It's not worth the cost of shipping it back. I will not buy this product again.

Summary: nice little heater
Comment: I agree this can be hard to tell what the setting is and it kicks off very quickly at times. It is effective, though, and I just have to turn up the setting to keep it running.

Summary: The littliest titan
Comment: This little heater is just the ticket. Small, nearly silent & works like a dream. The best feature is the ambient temp regulator. It will cycle on & off to keep you toasty based on the temp of the room. Dial it low to warm up just a few degrees if your area is not that cold or crank it up high if your space is freezer frigid like my office. Set at the max and it stays on & really does a bang up job of heating up the place. Not sure I would buy to heat larger rooms but it would be great for a small mud room or that spot in the basement where you like to curl up with a book. I keep mine under my desk at work & the small size is fabulous. Stays out of the way and only I know it's running, it's that quiet. I like the fan only option as well. Our climate control at the office is pretty much a joke during the spring when the weather goes from cold to warm. The fan will absolutely be a mood saver for me then. If it's going to be hot, I need the air moving at least a bit. I would highly recommend this item. Lots of bang for the buck & it does what it says it will do. Hard to say that about alot of products these days. Big thumbs up to the folks at DeLonghi for a great little item that saved me from showing up at work in Mukluks & a parka.
