Comment: I've had this unit for about a week, and it has a lot of good points, including it's small size, quality construction and low price. Consumer Reports recommended it, but they noted the noise issue too. I think the reason it's so loud is that it's using a very small fan to move a lot of heat. And despite having two heat settings (750 and 1500 watts), there's only one fan speed. I'm using it to warm up the master bathroom prior to getting into the shower, so the noise isn't an issue, but you wouldn't want it in a bedroom. I also found it was too noisy for my home office. Overall, it's a very nice unit for the price, but only for the right setting. More Reviews
