I asked her if I could borrow it for my own presentation and shazam, I was free from the tether. Used to use my long wired remote mouse but still had to wander back to the laptop and take my eye and attention off the audience. With this presenter in hand I can "work the room" and stay focused on the crowd. I can blank the screen and go forward and backward. It has a laser pointer and a timer that lets me know on a buzz setting (or stun, as I like to say). And it's small so it fits in the palm of my hand still allowing me freedom to gesture as needed. The USB thumb-drive-like wireless link sets inside the end of the device when not in use and there is a nice little soft case to keep it cozy in my computer bag. Yes, it does what the others do--advance slides, etc. But the added feature of volume control really is special. Many times, video that is imbedded into a PowerPoint can have varying levels of volume. With the Logitech Cordless Presenter, youl control the volume at your fingertips--without having to run up to the mixer board to frantically turn the volume up or down.
