Customer Rating: Summary: Don't You Own This Yet? Comment: Are you a Bruce Campbell fan? IF so, there's nothing more to say about the box set. Either you remember the show and you should own it or take it from other Bruce fans and just watch it for the first time. It's classic Bruce so you can't go wrong.
Customer Rating: Summary: The Adventures of Brisco Comment: It has been years since I seen this show. This show is packed full of action and cutie Bruce Campbell is hilarious. This has everything in it comedy, action, a little romance. A completely fun show to watch.
Customer Rating: Summary: The Adventures of Briscoe County Jr. Comment: These episodes aired on Saturday morning, I loved 'em then as now. Bruce Campbell made the show but the cast along with Kelly Rutherford topped it all off.
Customer Rating: Summary: Really like this show but... Comment: I really liked this show when it originally aired and eagerly watched and enjoyed all (well most) episodes once gotten on DVD. This show has great characters, wonderfully weird story lines, an overall storyarch is followed, and is ALMOST family friendly.
This is what frustrates me the most, that it is ALMOST family friendly. It is not overly violent and the heroes are all likeable. The problem is in the number of showgirl scenes (including the German blacksmiths, the belly dancers, the Vegas girls, and every single episode with Dixie Cousins (who was a great character overall) had her starting out or finishing off in a scantily clad custume) and the few roles in the hay (some literal). I find these scenes (short though they may be) embarassing to watch myself, and are what keep me from allowing my kids to watch.
It's a shame, as the rest of the show is great and something I would have liked to be able to watch as a family.
Customer Rating: Summary: ``Brisco County'' - What a great show! Comment: I missed this lengthy one-season series when it aired on Fox, and frankly I was sorry I had once I finished watching this. This was really my first opportunity to really see actor Bruce Campbell, whose hamminess is readily evident in other bodies of work such as ``Jack of All Trades'' (another one-season wonder of a show he starred in) and the more recent ``Burn Notice''. In this show, he plays the main character, a lawyer turned bounty hunter who comes west to avenge his fathers death at the hands of a gang. Along the way, the just ever so slightly over-the-top humor keeps fans laughing and entertained as they wait to see what Brisco, Lord Bowler, the professor, the Schwenge sisters and Swill brothers and those strange golden orbs that give those who touch them powers. I highly recommend to anyone who loves comedy that they check out this show that is actually a Sci-Fi Western comedy. The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. - The Complete Series
