Summary: Dead after 6 weeks!
Comment: This blender was great ... while it lasted, which turned out to be just 6 weeks! I don't expect to pay almost $80 for the privilege of using an appliance for 6 weeks. On top of that, I wrote Amazon's customer service to inquire about a refund or replacement and did not get a response to either of two emails I sent over a week's period. I finally decided to call and the person offered me a refund or exchange. I was originally wanting an exchange, but after coming back to this page and reading other reviews, hearing a couple that said even their replacement broke within weeks, well I figure I'm better off going to a local store to get a blender. It might still break, but at least I can walk back in with it to return it instaed of going through all this. The automatic refund processing center for Amazon doesn't work after 30 days and the blender wound up with a loose screw rattling around in it's base just 2 weeks past that deadline. This for a blender that was set on one counter out of the box and never moved more than an inch in either direction.
It seems the vibration of the motor itself is enough to shake it's internal screws loose, and since the loose screw is within the sealed portion of the base you can't possibly get to it to remove it. Defective product and I strongly suggest anyone think twice before purchasing it. Or just hope you're one of the lucky ones who gets a good one.

Comment: Everything from the motor up is a pretty standard oster blender. The motor however seems to have a bit of kick. The only downside is that it doesn't have a slower speed so sometimes things don't blend well without being packed down multiple times.

Summary: Great powerhouse of a blender with easy operation and cleanup
Comment: Got this to replace another new smoothie blender I just purchased and returned from different manufacturer. It does whatever you need a blender to do and then some. Very fast and effecient. So what if its a bit loud. If you need to blend something, they all make noise. Sturdy construction for which I expect many years of use. This replaces a 25 year old Osterizer that finally gave up the ghost. Hint: if you've got an older model Oster, don't throw away any of your cannister parts, they will probably work on this model as well then you have two pitchers, etc.

Comment: Yeah, it's a bit loud but what a piece of work! I liked
it so much I bought one for my sister. I use it to blend vegitables and juice mainly but I think it would blend ball bearings if the glass wouldn't break.

Comment: Absolutely fantastic blender. Yes, it is a little loud but it is not like it is on for hours at a time - more like 10 to 20 seconds. This blender helps you attain a good consistency very quickly. We have made frozen mixed drinks, smoothies, milk shakes, etc. We have only had the blender for one month, so I cannot yet comment on longevity. Anything you buy can break, so I guess it how it works while you have it. We narrowed our choice to this and Waring, and since both blenders received great reviews we decided to save some money with this one. We think we made the right choice.
