It's not the least bit soft or creamy, and the tiny point kind of tears at your skin while applying. It is an effective cover-up. Oddly enough, while sorting through some old (very old) makeup, I found a very similar pencil with a sponge at one end, but thicker and much more effective. After seeing numerous magazines talk about putting a little white shadow in the corner of your eyes to make them pop, I tried EVERYTHING. But whatever I used (white eye shadow, white pencil, etc.), it always looked strange and unnatural. This is the perfect color and perfect applicator. It is exactly what I wanted. Thanks Mally!
