Summary: Best shave
Comment: I bought this razor with some misgivings due to the reviews posted on this site. However, this is a wonderful electric razor. I have used a variety of brands of electric razors over the years. This one gives a closer shave, more comfortably, than any razor I have ever used. For me, this razor gives a closer shave than a blade without all the nicks. I could not be happier with it.

Pros:
- Great looking design. Feels great in your hand and you can really notice Philips used high quality materials to make this (not cheap plastic).
- Jet cleaning system won't take a lot of space in your bathroom
- Relatively silent
- Captures the majority of the facial air from the shave leaving the sink spot clean
Cons:
- Didn't feel any difference in terms of shave quality from previous low end models that I owned in the past (like the 8200 series). At this price point I was expecting more
- The Jet Cleaning System is a joke - very poor engineering: The instructions manual repetitively warns you to not leave your razor in the cleaning system after the cleaning cycle is complete because it will kill the battery of your razor. Problem is that the cycle takes 2 hours and they advise you to use it after every shave. So, you have to wait for 2 hours and then unplug the jet cleaning system from the power plug, or it will mess up your razor. This makes no sense to me, I just want to be able to plug it in the system and leave my apartment while it does the cleaning - but with this one you can't do this
- Philips 45 day (not 60 as advertised here) money back guarantee is painful. You can only return after 3 weeks of use (but before 45 days) and you need to pay out of your own pocket, mail postage and insurance. But before that you need to call Philips customer service, wait on the phone for 30 minutes and they'll send you by mail a return form. If you decide to return it, I suggest you count on the return policy of the retailer you buy from
All in all, I was expecting more from a Philips high end product.

Comment: Excellent shaving system, incredibly flexible shaver head allows for easy shaving over all the contours of your face and neck. The shaver is easy to clean, simply rinse under water, and even comes with a cleaning and recharging system.

Comment: The first thing I noticed when using this razor is how smooth it felt against my face. Secondly, even after the first use, it was a fantastically close shave. The battery is plenty long enough. I've had it off the charger for a week with daily shaves and no loss in power. The cleaning system is simple and straightforward.
