Summary: 'Like Dick Cheney when he was a Wal-Mart Greeter'
Comment: First, I'll debunk a basic complaint: yes, it's not the full season, the last five episodes of season five are absent from the volume, but if that's a problem, you shouldn't have bought it, I don't particularly care for those other five episodes, so I bought the volume knowing that. I mean, come on, it's not like someone forced you to buy Volume Five.

Regardless, it's an excellent season, with thirteen classic episodes on two discs, plus the third disc featuring special features. What's great about the episodes themselves is that they're extended further beyond what is seen on television, plus the optional uncensored/censored audio, which comes a bonus because this season is absolutely rich with strong profanity, unlike Family Guy, Vol. 4 (Season 4 Part 2), which I also collected and love, but has only about five episodes with strong profanity.

Speaking of the episodes, here they are:
DISC ONE:
1. Stewie Loves Lois-9/10
2. Mother Tucker-8/10
3. Hell Comes to Quahog-7/10
4. Saving Private Brian-10/10 (The Marilyn Manson gad was hilarious, considering what a major fan of his I am)
5. Whistle While Your Wife Works-9/10
6. Prick Up Your Ears-8/10

DISC TWO:
7. Chick Cancer-10/10
8. Barely Legal-8/10
9. Road to Rupert-10/10
10. Peter's Two Dads-10/10
11. The Tan Aquatic With Steve Zissou-10/10
12. Airport '07-9/10
13. Bill & Peter's Bogus Journey-10/10

DISC THREE:
Deleted Scenes
Drawing Peter featurette
Toys, Toys Galore featurette
Animatics with optional commentary

Also, don't forget commentaries, and again one of the things I love most about this DVD boxset is the extended scenes in episodes, the general way that they're longer than on television, and PLUS deleted scenes. In some cases, the optional uncensored audio is worth the price of admission alone. Episodes like "The Tan Aquatic With Steve Zissou", "Road to Rupert" and "Peter's Two Dads" have the language that helps to make it even more hilarious.

RECOMMENDED.

Summary: STOP complaining!
Comment: I wish people would just enjoy the show for what it is instead of bashing it on here. If (in my opinion) you want to comment on it say something positive not negative. THere's enough negative crap in the world as it is. Sure every show and movie out there has flaws. Nobody is perfect. You know there is a button on your t.v. remote that says on/off you know. Stewie is my fave character! I got the family guy bendable set and a Stewie plush animated doll. HILARIOUS!!! SOmeone always comments on it when new people come over. You know they should make a movie: "Chucky vs. Stewie"! That would've been better I believe than the "Seed of CHucky". THink about it, there both bout the same size and both have overalls. Hmmmm. What you all think? Just a idea. I got a few Chucky dolls from 12" to 30" too. That Stewie Halloween costume is cool too!

Summary: Episode list (I always wish I knew before I bought)
Comment: I always wanted to know what episodes I was looking to buy, so here. Hope this helps.

Stewie Loves Lois - Lois saves Rupert and Peter gets a prostate exam.

Mother Tucker - Peter's mom starts dating TV's Tom Tucker.

Hell Comes to Quahog - Meg gets a job at a store just like "Wal-Mart."

Saving Private Brian - Stewie and Brian join the Army.

Whistle While Your Wife Works - Lois has to help an injured Peter at work. This is also the first episode with Jillian.

Prick Up Your Ears - Lois teaches sex ed at Meg's school.

Chick Cancer - Peter makes a chick-flick. Stewie and Olivia reunite.

Barely Legal - Meg falls for Brian. Peter, Quagmire, and Cleveland become policemen.

Road to Rupert - Brian and Stewie go to Aspen to save Rupert. Meg becomes Peter's personal driver.

Peter's Two Dads - Peter accidentally kills his "father" and learns that his REAL father is an Irish drunk.

The Tan Aquatic with Steve Zissou - Stewie gets his tan on. Peter becomes a bully.

Airport '07 - Peter gets Quagmire fired, so he must get him rehired.

Bill and Peter's Bogus Journey - Peter and Bill Clinton partake in shenanigans. Lois has a "meeting" with Clinton.

All good episodes, especially Whistle While Your Wife Works, Peter's Two Dad's, Tan Aquatic..., and Bill and Peter's Bogus Journey. Enjoy.

Summary: Funnier
Comment: Where do the writers get these idea's? They just keep putting out quality episodes with laugh material.

Summary: Trying Too Hard
Comment: As a huge proponent of the revival of Family Guy, I am disheartened by the lack of creativity that is becoming the norm for this show. It is becoming very clear that the writers think they need only think of something offensive and then arbitrarily put it into the show. Non sequiturs are only humorous to a certain extent, an extent which I believe this volume, unfortunately, surpasses.
