Summary: ****I think it was not a good purchase ****
Comment: I had a 4847 model and this model had the following problems: it ran too fast all the time. I had to adjust it all the time, normally every 15 days about six minutes fast. It's not sapphire cristal, because in 3 months has 3 scratch, and I think it's not fare. It looks very pretty but quality is very very poor.
This is not what I payed for.

Summary: Nice watch, but wear it regularly
Comment: One of the disadvantages of shopping online is that the pictures of the products often don't tell the full story. Personally I think this is a really nice watch at a nice price, but the picture doesn't really explain how heavy this watch really is.

Just keep in mind that you need to wear this watch regularly to keep the movement wound. If you intend to wear this watch occasionally, be prepared to either manually wind it regularly or reset the time every time you do wear it.

I personally think this is a really nice watch, but I do not believe it is worth $725 retail. It's worth $170 with Amazon Prime free shipping, but I would have walked away at $500+.

Update: I've experimented a bit over the past few weeks and have discovered the watch stops if it's not worn or manually wound after about 24 to 30 hours. This is not a scientific experiment by any means. I took off the watch just before going to bed and left it on the nightstand. I checked it the next morning and it was ticking away. I checked it again later that night just before going to bed and it was still ticking. When I awoke the following morning, I noticed the watch had stopped.

Summary: Great watch, good value for money.
Comment: This watch looks great, the exhibition case back that lets you watch the automatic movement is really nice. You can't touch the quality and movement used here for the money.. Good Value!

Summary: Solid Invicta product
Comment: This my third Invicta watch, all of them solid performers. The face looks rich without being gaudy. I own several other automatic watches, all of them gain a little time, but it is really not much of a problem. I have a $10.00 quartz that keeps perfect time, but sure doesn't look as classy or feel as nice on as a good smooth running automatic. My 4847 looks good, feels good. I recommend Invicta products and the company.

Summary: Do NOT waste you money on this Watch!
Comment: I have owned them and they are JUNK.

I write this because I saw they Keep Pushing them with an MSRP of $800?

This is a $50 watch, if it works!

Editorial Reviews:

Get ready for undersea discovery and elegant nights on the town with this Invicta Pro Diver Skeleton stainless steel men's automatic watch, which is topped by a black-plated unidirectional rotating bezel with 23 hand set diamond-accented elapsed time markings. The diamonds are GH in color and SI in clarity. The large, round silver watch case measures 41mm wide (1.73 inches) and the back has a skeleton view window into the inner workings of the watch's automatic movement. The black dial face offers Tritnite luminous dotted markers and hands (with seconds hand), small minute indexes, and a magnified date window at 3 o'clock. The triple-link surgical grade 316L stainless steel bracelet band is joined by a fold-over-clasp-with-safety. Other features include a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and coin-edged bezel for an easy grasp even with gloved hands.

An automatic (or self-winding) watch is fitted with a device (rotor) that automatically winds the spring by using the force of gravity. It needs no battery, but it will stop if you have been physically inactive for an extended period of time--as long as you're moving, the watch will stay powered. Swiss watchmaker Abraham-Louis Perrelet invented the self-winding mechanism in 1770. It worked on the same principle as a modern pedometer, and was designed to wind as the owner walked.

Tritnite is a luminous material with an extended glow exclusively developed by Invicta in Switzerland and added to their timepiece hands and markers. When exposed to regular daylight, it will hold its glow for about 20 hours.
