Not like speedo earplugs, they are very soft so that they won't irritate or hurt my ear canals. Their cone shape makes them stay in the ear and provides complete seal. I can wear them for one hour in water without any discomfort. These ear plugs, although I think they are a little expensive for what they are, work really good. They make a tight fit and keep the water out.
