Summary: Good headset, distinct improvement over H700
Comment: I bought the H710 bluetooth headset to replace my second Motorola H700 headset (the first one was replaced by Motorola under warranty). I really like the design features shared with the H700:
1) ON/OFF is simple: just open or close the microphone.
2) Over the ear design is comfortable and secure -- and easily switched from right to left ear.
3) Use of the headset is easy: one button controls most features (except volume)
4) easily pairs with bluetooth phone.
5) the LED surrounding the button changes color to clearly indicate function/feature
That being said, the H710 is improved over the H700:
* The Volume is better (the H700 was often too soft)
* The microphone/noise cancellation is much better -- people talking to me no longer ask me to speak up or repeat myself.
* Linking to a bluetooth device is easier, and you can now link to two separate devices (and even receive calls from either one)
* The multi-colored LED is improved and now also works to indicate existing charge status.
* There is audible feedback when calling or disconnecting from a call (various tones)
Other changes:
* It seems more reliable (but only time will tell) -- my H700 had to be replaced in under a year because the microphone volume dropped to unintelligible; then the second one suffered the same problem after less than a year.
* It uses the new micro-USB connector instead of mini-USB. While I, like many, have multiple mini-USB chargers, I did not find this to be a disadvantage because 1) it comes with a micro-USB charger for home use, and 2) for less than $3 you can purchase a micro/mini USB adapter cable such as Motorola RAZR2 V8 / V9 EMU / Micro USB Adapter [OEM] SKN6252. The adapter cable easily lets you use existing Mini USB chargers such as a car charger.

All in all a distinct improvement at the same price (or less).

Summary: Great sound quality, Poor Mic quality
Comment: I read all sorts of reviews on this product and decided to try it even though I have owned several H700s. I was hoping this would be the answer to all the problems I have had with Bluetooth headsets. I love the design and the first time I used it I actually had to turn the volume down to a lower level because it was too loud. I'm very hard of hearing so you can imagine my surprise. The big problem I had was most callers on the other end were constantly asking me to speak up even though I was in a quiet environment. It made it difficult to use and I finally gave up. Currently I am searching for a new headset. I would not recommend this product.

Summary: Excellent Product
Comment: This bluetooth device is an excellent purchase. The device is extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear.

The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating was because it didn't work exactly as I had expected. We had a large group going to Las Vegas and we were going to be split up most of the day but needed to get together at different points throughout the day so we needed to contact each other via our cell phones. I wanted a device that I could wear comfortably in my ear all day so I could hear if someone tried to call me. For this reason, the device worked great!! It was very easy to hear when someone was calling me even in the noisiest of casinos. The only problem was the noise cancelling didn't work so well even if there was only a little background noise. I was able to hear when someone called but I would have to turn off the device and answer the phone so that the person on the other line could hear me.

This device works excellent when you are driving in a car, sitting in your office, or any place where your noise level is a little more adjustable. I absolutely love being able to just flip the boom to turn off the device. There's no fumbling for an on/off button.

Summary: Good for me
Comment: I can hear great. But people on the other end complain that they hear a ton of noise. Sounds like everything on my end is being amplified. I only know how to turn down the volume for what I can hear.

I also got a new phone, so it could be the phone, but I think it's the headset.

Summary: Great Headset but micro-USB charger a Pain in the ...
Comment: I replaced my H700 headset with this one after I carelessly lost it. It's a simple, great design that works well, however:

CON: The one biggest irritation with the H710 over the H700 is that Motorola switched to using a micro usb charger rather than the common mini USB charger that most other devices use. So rather than just have one charger for my motorola phone and headset in the car/home/office, now I have to buy a second charger to keep in the car/home/office. The H710 is the same size as the H700, so there was no reason to change the charger, other than to annoy.
