Summary: Great thermostat the Honeywell Digital LineVoltProTM 8000
Comment: Easy to install! I replaced the old one with the new one in about 20 min including up and down the stairs to switch the power off. Programming was a snap after catching on. This took longer than the install for me. One thing to note is you can program the whole week at one time then go back and change the individual days that you want the schedule different. This saves a lot of time and button pushing. I like the fact that all the buttons are hidden except for the light button. It has been working great. It will be nice not having to think if you turned it down during the day all winter.

Comment: I purchased this thermostat to control a Cadet 63314 heater I installed in a cold bathroom in our house. I wanted a programmable unit because, being a bathroom, I didn't need the room to be a constant temperature all day... I wanted it warm in the morning when I got up, and again at night when getting ready for bed. Also, I didn't want the electric bill running up to heat a room I wasn't in for several hours a day.
This is the only programmable line voltage unit I could find, and is does an excellent job. Multiple settings through the day to manage the room temp. for when you want it, and day of the week settings to allow your days to be set differently. Also has a vacation button that you can set for a different temp., without changing any other programming.
Programming was easy, though you will need to refer to the instructions because of the number of options on settings. The preset programming is very good though, so you may not need to adjust anything other than the time and day.
The hardest part of the install was running the wiring. Since this is a line voltage thermostat, you will need to run 240v power to it, then away from it to the heater, which can be a lot of work if you are doing it in a finished room, as I was.
This has made a huge difference in the comfort of the bathroom it was installed in, and I recommend it for anyone who might have, or is installing, a baseboard heater. The electrical savings, plus comfort, made this a big winner for me.

Comment: Best line voltage thermostat I could fine. Works great and is already saving me money by lowing the temp and night and when I leave for work. Easy to program and has great interface.
I originally purchased it replace a thermostat that went out, but after installing the new Honeywell LineVoltPro and seeing how great it was. I bought three more and replaced all the thermostats in my home.

Comment: The unit is very attractive and was purchased to replace my "on/off" baseboard thermostat. The hookup was extra simple with two wires for the 220 feed and two wires for the heater load. Programing was also very easy, every day can be time programmed with two "comfort on" cycles and two "economy" cycles, plus there is a vacation low temp cycle. While every day can have it's own unique on and off times, there are only two temps available on a daily basis, either comfort or economy. I would like to see the weekends with their own seperate temps available, but other than that, the units work perfectly and do everything that is promised.
