Customer Rating: Summary: Worth the wait! Comment: Long time fan of Nickelback and I'm thrilled to see more "rock" on this CD than the last one!
Customer Rating: Summary: very nickelback! Comment: Another great album from a great band, although there were times Chad sounded more like James Hetfield with a touch of glam/pop.
I love the ballads and "this afternoon", but i hope they stick to the genre they've started on their next album. Sounding so "POP"py would turn away fanatics.
Customer Rating: Summary: Typical Nickelback Comment: Basically I really like this album. It is a typical Nickelback album, it has your anti-junkie song, stripper song and a few sex songs. The thing about it though, is that the driving music keeps you into every song. I'm sure there are, at least, six top ten singles here. I just hope they will continue to hold my interest with the same formula. All in all a good album.
Customer Rating: Summary: The 'awesome' is back in music Comment: Okay, so I have every album Nickelback has ever done and I've loved them from the beginning. First I want to know why everyone is so brutal about artists changing direction with their content and sound. I thought it was about expression, no? Having said that, I really don't see that this is all that different from the last record, in sound anyway. It is different from the earlier stuff like Curb, but it's still fantastic. I love everything about it. It's a little naughty, which I love and it's very fun. I also like the slower songs. The skeptics need to listen to the words I guess, they will blow you away. It's really amazing. So I give it five stars for sure. Here we go with the breakdown:
1. Something In Your Mouth 5/5 love this song, love the way Chad Kroeger says 'naughty'
2. Burn It To The Ground 5/5 gotta love that metal!!!
3. Gotta Be Somebody 4.5/5 awesome song, period.
4. I'd Come For You 4.5/5 love the words in the song, amazing.
5. Next Go Round 5/5 great metal sound and makes me laugh - so fun!
6. Just To Get High 3.5/5 has a great message, but not a personal favorite.
7. Never Gonna Be Alone 5/5 LOVE this song, love his voice!!!!
8. Shakin' Hands 5/5 naughty, fun, and just a great all around song.
9. S.E.X. 4.5/5 great and fun
10. Today Was Your Last Day 4.5/5 great song great words.
11. This Afternoon 5/5 I really like this one, even though it's a bit different for them. You can almost sense their nostalgia - it's about beginnings or their roots. Great song.
Over all a great record. They just do it for me, I'm a fan for life!
Customer Rating: Summary: Good one.... Comment: My first listen was a little tainted....in fear Mutt Lange was going to turn these guys into 80's Def Leppard. Def Lep is great, but I like Nickelback's sound and didn't want a change. Besides Leopardized backing vocals on a few of the songs, Lange didn't do much in my opinion.
Tracks 1,2,3, 8 and 9 are my favorites, but after many a few listens, every song will grow on you.

Nickelback have established themselves as one of the biggest rock bands in the world. With over 26 million albums sold worldwide they have made their mark in rock and roll history. Their new album, 'Dark Horse', is one of the most anticipated releases this year. The band brought in legendary producer Mutt Lange to produce the record with Nickelback and longtime collaborator Joey Moi.
